QuickScan is an Android and iOS document scanning app with on-device OCR, published by PikScan. By downloading or using it, you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Purpose
QuickScan is an Android and iOS app to scan, organize and export documents (images, PDF) with on-device OCR. The publisher is PikScan.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use QuickScan on your devices, subject to these terms and store rules (App Store and Google Play).
3. Free service, ads and Premium
QuickScan is free and may show ads (Google AdMob), including full-screen or rewarded video formats at certain times (e.g. after 3 free offline scans; rewarded video every 3 OCR or compressed PDF exports). Optional Premium ($6.99 one-time) removes ads. The free experience may change.
4. Your content
- You alone are responsible for documents you scan, import, store or share.
- You must have the rights to those materials and comply with applicable law.
- PikScan does not access your locally stored files in normal operation as described in the privacy policy.
5. Availability and accuracy
OCR and edge detection are provided “as is”. Results may be incomplete or wrong. Always verify important documents before official, accounting or legal use.
6. Prohibited uses
You may not: reverse-engineer beyond what law allows; disrupt ad services; use QuickScan unlawfully; bypass security measures.
7. Intellectual property
QuickScan, its name, logo and interfaces belong to PikScan or its licensors. These terms transfer no ownership.
8. Disclaimer of warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuickScan is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or error-free operation.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PikScan is not liable for indirect damages, local data loss (back up important files), or harm from using or being unable to use the app. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Termination
You may stop using QuickScan anytime by uninstalling. We may stop distributing or updating the app.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law, subject to mandatory consumer protections where you live. French courts have jurisdiction under the same reservations.
